Discount Show Ticket Tutorial
Purpose
This process outlines how to properly handle inbound calls from BGV/HGV guests calling to purchase discounted show tickets through our Super Platinum Show List. Guests are calling from a flyer/sheet provided by BGV/HGV and will have a discount code qualifying for either 50% OFF (majority of calls) or 15% OFF. These calls are for MV Guests, BGV/HGV Owners, guests traveling with owners, or qualified guests receiving the offer through BGV/HGV.
Step 1: Greeting the Call
Example Greeting: “Thank you for calling Thousand Hills Vacations, this is [Your Name]. Are you calling in regarding your BGV/HGV discount show tickets today?”
Step 2: Verify the Discount Code
Ask for the discount code from the flyer and verify: • Correct code • Whether it qualifies for 50% or 15% off • Guest eligibility if needed Step
3: Explain the Offer
Explain the offer clearly: “Great news — your code qualifies you for 50% off our Super Platinum Show list.” Or: “Your code gives you 15% off eligible Super Platinum shows.”
Step 4: Discover What They Want
Ask: • What dates will you be in Branson? • How many tickets are you needing? • Are there any specific shows you hoped to see? • Are you looking for music, comedy, family shows, or dinner entertainment? Use this opportunity to learn what they are wanting, and upsell them as much as possible
Step 5: Present Show Options
Recommend 2–4 strong show options based on availability, interests, and best value.
Step 6: Quote Discounted Pricing
Explain pricing and savings: “Regular price would be $__ but with your BGV/HGV discount your total comes to $__.”
Step 7: Close the Sale & Enter Order in SMASH
Collect guest information and payment. IMPORTANT – Before completing the order in SMASH, verify the correct sourcing code: • BGV2025 - 50% → for guests receiving the 50% discount • BGV2025 - 15% → for guests receiving the 15% discount. Make sure the correct sourcing is selected before finalizing the transaction.
Step 8: Confirm Everything
Review: • Show name(s) • Date/time • Number of tickets • Discount applied • Total charged • Pickup/delivery instructions Closing Example: “Thank you for calling Thousand Hills Vacations, and we hope you enjoy your time in Branson!”
