Description: This is a brief guide on how to create e-mail rules/filters for G-mail
Step 1. Navigate to gmail.com and sign in
Step 2.In the top right corner, click the settings button, then click see all settings.
Step 3. In this menu, click Filters and Blocked Addresses
Step 4. At the bottom of this screen, click "Create a new filter"
Step 5. On the screen that pops up, input identifiable information for the e-mails that won't have any cross over with others. For example, if you get an e-mail from a vendor that's automated, but the vendor also sends legitimate e-mails you want to see, be sure to include the subject of the automated e-mails as well as the vendor's e-mail address. Once you have done this, click "Create Filter"
Step 6. On the next screen, you can choose what you would like done to the e-mails. For any e-mails that you do not want to see, you will "Mark as Read" and then you will "Apply the label" and pick a label/create one. Labels are Gmail's version of folders.
